Job summary

Essex County Council operates Ugobus and is recruiting drivers based in Canvey to deliver accessible transport services. You will work 20 hours per week in a split shift pattern, earning a pro rata salary and supporting a broad mix of passengers including students, older adults, and people with disabilities.

The role requires a current D1 entitlement, customer-facing experience, and the ability to adapt to changing schedules. DBS, MiDAS and First Aid training are part of the process.

Qualifications

• Hold a current driving licence with D1 entitlement.

Responsibilities

• Drive accessible minibuses to transport passengers.
• Assist a diverse range of passengers including students, adults and those with disabilities.
• Complete required checks and training (DBS, driver assessment, MiDAS, First Aid).
