Job summary

The Queen Elizabeth Academy is seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join our learning support team. This part-time post (25 hours/week, 39 weeks/year) is ideal for someone who enjoys working with young people and wants to help them prepare for their future.

You will work under the guidance of teaching staff to support pupils, while helping to create a positive and inclusive learning environment. The role requires Maths and English GCSEs at C/4 or above and good communication skills.

Qualifications

• GCSE Maths and English at grade C/4 or above.
• Experience working with children.
• Able to multitask with good organisation and time management.
• Effective oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with work/care/support programmes to enable access to learning for pupils and support the teacher in managing pupils and the classroom.
• Work in the classroom or outside the main teaching area under supervision.
