Job summary

Wansdyke School in Devizes, Wiltshire, is seeking a caring Teaching Assistant to support pupils in the Complex Needs Resource Base. The role is part-time, term-time only, starting November 2026, fixed term to 21 July 2027. You will work across ages 4–11 and assist with SEND learners, with intimate care as required.

The successful candidate will bring a patient, flexible approach, good communication, and teamwork, with training opportunities offered.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting children with additional needs (SEND) is advantageous.
• Able to work across all age ranges in a primary setting.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Committed to child welfare and safety, including intimate care.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils in the Complex Needs Resource Base.
• Assist with learning activities across ages 4–11.
• Provide intimate care as required.
• Collaborate with staff and parents to track progress.
