Job summary

New Horizons School in Beauchamp Road, St Leonards on Sea, East Sussex, is recruiting a Teaching Assistant 2 on a permanent, term-time-only contract. The role is 30 hours per week across 39 weeks worked per year, with 46.2 weeks paid per year (FTE Grade 3/SSP7 £25,614).

Pro-rata salary starts from £18,451 per annum. You will join a tutor team supporting pupils inside and outside the classroom, with a bespoke curriculum for vulnerable children, and scope for CPD and coaching qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Enjoys being part of a tutor team that supports pupils to learn inside and outside of the classroom.
• Understands the benefits of a bespoke curriculum for vulnerable, hard to reach children.
• Feels they could effectively manage pupils in the classroom and outdoors in a range of contexts.
• Would like to secure a range of coaching qualifications and outdoor skills as part of your personal CPD.
• Is able to reflect on their own practice to improve the outcomes for our pupils.
