Job summary

Tradewind Recruitment is seeking a motivated Level 2 Teaching Assistant to join a primary school in the PR5 area. The role is part-time, mornings only, starting in October, and ongoing.

You will work alongside the class teacher to support learning and development across the school, with a bus-friendly location convenient for Preston commuters. The successful candidate will have Level 2 TA qualification or equivalent, experience in a primary setting, and strong interpersonal and communication

Qualifications

• Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent is essential.
• Experience as a Teaching Assistant in a primary school setting is required.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to build positive relationships with pupils, staff and parents.

Responsibilities

• Work 1-1 with children needing additional support.
• Work Monday to Friday, mornings only.
• Provide pastoral support to children needing extra help.
• Contribute to creating a safe and nurturing learning environment.
• Help assess pupil progress and keep accurate records.
• Support pupils with special educational needs (SEN).
• Flexibility to work across different year groups.
• Support pupils during morning learning sessions.

Teaching Assistant - PR5Tradewind are seeking a motivated and dedicated Level 2 Teaching Assistant to work on a part‑time, morning‑only basis at a Primary School within the PR5 area. The role will start in October and will be on an ongoing basis. The successful candidate will work alongside the class teacher to support the learning and development of children across the school. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Teaching Assistant looking for a consistent Monday to Friday morning role. The school is easily accessible by bus from Preston town centre, making it a convenient option for candidates travelling by public transport.

Key Responsibilities

Essential Requirements

• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service and right to work in the UK

Desirable Requirements

• Knowledge of phonics and early years learning
• Experience working with children with SEND
• Experience using ICT to support learning
