Job summary

Leicestershire Fire and Rescue Service is seeking a part-time Systems Accountant to maintain the financial accounting system, resolve technical issues and drive dashboards and reporting improvements. The role requires experience with finance systems in local government and a solid AAT or equivalent qualification.

You will train finance system users, lead upgrades and integrations, streamline workflows and ensure code of practice alignment.

Qualifications

• AAT or equivalent qualification.
• Significant systems management experience in a local government finance setting.
• Confident communicator with ability to build relationships and adapt to changing priorities.

Responsibilities

• Train and support system users in effective use of the finance system.
• Lead or support finance system upgrades and integration projects.
• Drive system improvements including streamlined workflows and automation of repetitive financial tasks.
• Maintain the chart of financial account codes in line with financial regulations and code of practice.
