Job summary

Freedom Leisure is recruiting a Swim Teacher to deliver swimming lessons at our leisure centres. The role will involve teaching children and adults, ensuring learners are supported and progress towards goals in a friendly, inclusive environment.

Based at multiple sites (Marina and Phoenix Leisure Centres) across the UK, with training and development on offer. This part-time position offers a pension, staff discounts and a commitment to career growth within a charitable leisure trust.

Qualifications

• Teach swimming to children and adults according to qualification and training.
• Communicate with children’s parents/guardians about development and progression.
• Supervise pool users to ensure safety and discipline.
• Demonstrate excellent communication with customers.
• Enhanced DBS check required.

Responsibilities

• To teach swimming to children and/or adults as part of the Leisure Centre’s programme, according to qualification and training.
• To communicate with the children’s parents/guardians concerning their development and advise on progression.
• To assist in the supervision of customers in the swimming pool and surrounds, ensuring safety and discipline.
• Excellent communication skills with a genuine desire to work closely with customers.
