Job summary

Stockton-on-Tees Borough Council is seeking a part-time Support Worker for Lanark Close Short Breaks Service to cover a maternity leave period. You will support adults with learning disabilities to maintain independence, develop skills and participate in community activities.

The role requires caring, patient and empathetic individuals with good communication. DBS clearance is required. Salary is £19,687–£20,316 for 28 hours per week, with enhanced pay for unsociable hours where applicable.

Qualifications

• Professional knowledge and experience of working in a care or caring setting and / or NVQ Level 2 in Adult Social Care or equivalent(desirable)
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Empathy, patience and a positive attitude
