Job summary

The RGS Newcastle Group is seeking a dedicated Student Support Assistant to help a Year 9 student. The role runs 15 hours per week over two days (Mon and Tue) during term time, with shifts from 7:45am to around 4:30pm depending on activities.

A caring, patient and professional approach is essential as the student requires personal care and support in lessons. Salary is 26k gross per annum full-time, pro-rata’d to approximately 8.3k gross per annum for this part-time position, with excellent

• Must be caring and patient
• Able to support a student in Year 9
• Good at working as part of a school team

Responsibilities

• Support student in lessons and during some breaktimes
• Assist with toileting and transfers to/from standing frame
• Provide personal care and supervision from 7:45am to 4:30pm on days worked
• Work two days per week (Monday and Tuesday) during term time
