RGS Newcastle Group in Newcastle upon Tyne is seeking a caring Student Support Assistant to support a Year 9 pupil. The post is part-time, 15 hours per week over Monday and Tuesday during term time, with shifts from 7.45am to around 4.30pm, including personal care and mobility support.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting a student with personal care and mobility tasks is beneficial.
• Ability to engage with a student in a school environment with sensitivity and discretion.
• Willingness to work early mornings and handle routine guidance duties.

Responsibilities

• Support the student during lessons and break times, ensuring their safety and wellbeing.
• Assist with toileting and transfers to and from a standing frame as required.
• Monitor and accompany the student from around 7.45am until 4.30pm, with time allocated for co-curricular activities.
