Job summary

Nugget, part of Mitchells & Butlers, is recruiting a Part Time Sous Chef to lead a kitchen section and drive a small team in a busy pub kitchen. You’ll step up in the Head Chef’s absence and ensure smooth service with a branded menu.

The role offers flexible shifts and opportunities to develop through paid qualifications, with social and staff benefits in a supportive kitchen environment.

Qualifications

• Experience as a sous chef or senior cook in a fast-paced pub/kitchen.
• Ability to train and lead a team to work cohesively.
• Experience in food ordering, stock control and menu execution.
• Knowledge of health and hygiene regulations and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Be driven to smash targets with your team.
• Train and inspire your team to deliver food to be proud of.
• Support your Head Chef with food ordering, food preparation and stock control.
• Have mastered the art of working with a branded menu.
• Have confidence in managing Chefs and the wider Kitchen Team.
• Oversee that your team conforms to health and hygiene regulations.
