Job summary

Berkeley Group Plc is seeking an experienced Site Manager to oversee maintenance, repairs and refurbishment across a diverse property portfolio. You will manage day-to-day works, coordinate contractors and ensure high safety and quality standards while liaising with stakeholders.

The role combines office-based coordination with regular site visits; you will plan projects, monitor progress and manage records.

Qualifications

• Experience as Site Manager or similar role.
• Strong contractor management and coordination.
• Solid health and safety knowledge.
• Experience managing multiple projects and stakeholders.
• Excellent organisational and communication skills.
• Proactive, detail-oriented approach.
• Able to resolve issues and make decisions.
• Flexible, reliable with good judgement.
• SMSTS/CSCS or equivalent safety qualifications.
• Experience on refurbishment, heritage or high-specification properties.
• First Aid at Work qualification.

Responsibilities

• Manage maintenance, repair and improvement works across a diverse property portfolio.
• Oversee contractors, consultants and suppliers to deliver projects safely, on time and within budget.
• Support refurbishment, enhancement and construction projects.
• Coordinate reactive maintenance and respond to operational issues.
• Monitor progress, quality, contractor performance and risks.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental and quality standards.
• Maintain project records, reports and documentation.
• Conduct regular site inspections and identify improvement opportunities.
• Build relationships with contractors, stakeholders and colleagues.
• Support a collaborative and professional working environment.
