Glasgow Council for the Voluntary Sector in Glasgow is seeking a part-time Retirement Assistant to support tenants in Yoker Sheltered Housing. You will help older residents settle in, encourage participation in activities, and provide housing management support during the 9am–1pm core hours.

The post is fixed-term until March 2028 with pro rata annual leave and a Scottish Widows pension scheme. You will work Monday to Friday, building relationships, signposting to welfare and energy advice, and

Responsabilités

• Provide advice and assistance to encourage tenants to maintain the condition of their tenancy.
• Organise and encourage tenants to take an active role in social support activities, events and groups.
• Encourage tenants’ participation in issues that affect them and the community they live in.
• Assist tenants to resolve or prevent housing debt by signposting to Money or Energy Advice Services.
• Welcoming new tenants by providing a new tenant visit to all new retirement/sheltered housing tenants, assisting them to settle and get the most out of the retirement site
