Job summary

Surrey and Borders Partnership NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Band 8a Clinical or Counselling Psychologist to join the North East Hants Community Team within the CYPS.

Based in Aldershot, this part-time post (22.5 hours per week) supports children and young people with complex mental health needs in a multidisciplinary team, providing specialist assessments and CBT-based interventions, with supervision and clinical leadership across the MDT.

Qualifications

• Experience across life span with mental health issues and cognitive profiles.
• Expertise in multiple psychological models including systemic, behavioural and individual therapies.
• Post registration/clinical experience and capability for service development and training supervision.

Responsibilities

• Provide psychological assessments, formulations and interventions within the care group.
• Supervise and teach qualified and trainee psychologists; mentor other staff as required.
• Develop and deliver psychology services; participate in recruitment and service development.
• Lead on supervision and appraisals of assistant psychologists as required.
• Contribute to policies, care pathways and research in collaboration with the MDT.
