The Part Time Finance Team seeks an experienced Senior Bookkeeper to work part-time on a self-employed basis in Warrington and surrounding areas. You will own day-to-day bookkeeping, prepare VAT returns, manage credit control, and support the Financial Controller with financial analysis and process improvements.

This flexible role suits someone who thrives independently, values accuracy and has strong organisational skills. On-site work two days per week with a rate of £25 per hour.

Qualifications

• Senior bookkeeper with VAT returns experience.
• Ability to work independently.
• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
• Experience with Xero, Sage or QuickBooks preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day bookkeeping activities.
• Prepare and submit VAT returns.
• Manage credit control and cash collection.
• Oversee inventory management.
• Complete regular bank reconciliations.
• Maintain up-to-date financial records.
• Support month-end processes.
• Identify and implement process improvements.
• Provide finance support to the Financial Controller.
