Job summary

Walgrave Primary School in Northampton is seeking an enthusiastic SENDCo to lead and coordinate the school’s SEND provision. This role focuses on inclusion and collaboration with families, staff and external professionals to ensure every child receives the support they need.

The successful candidate will work 1 day per week with no teaching duties, guided by the Headteacher, and will benefit from Main Scale (pro rata) plus full SEN Allowance in a nurturing village school environment.

Qualifications

• As SENDCo, you will lead and coordinate the school’s SEND provision.
• You will support teachers and staff in identifying and meeting the needs of pupils with SEND.
• You will maintain and develop effective SEND systems, records and provision.
• You will work closely with parents and carers to ensure positive communication and partnership.
• You will liaise with external agencies and professionals where appropriate.
• You will monitor and review the progress and provision of pupils with SEND.
• You will contribute to the development of an inclusive whole-school approach.
• You will keep up to date with relevant SEND legislation, guidance and best practice.
