Job summary

TaxAssist Accountants Royston is seeking an experienced Semi-Senior Accountant to join our team in Royston, United Kingdom. Part-qualified with recent practice experience preferred.

Duties include Self-Employed Tax Returns, VAT returns, monthly Payroll and CIS returns, personal tax returns and sole trader tax returns, plus HMRC communications. This is a permanent part-time role (4 days a week) with in-house training and free onsite parking.

Qualifications

• Solid, recent practice experience (minimum 2 years).
• Part Qualified AAT or ACCA preferred.
• Good knowledge of UK tax laws and accounting standards for small businesses.
• Strong IT skills and ability to use TaxCalc, QuickBooks, Dext, and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Looking after all Self-Employed Tax Returns.
• Prepare and file VAT returns, confirmation statements, monthly payroll and CIS returns, personal tax returns and sole trader tax returns.
• Communicate with HMRC and handle HMRC queries.
• Support management and team, answer calls and log information accurately.
