Job summary

The Best Connection is recruiting Airport Security Officers to work at Edinburgh Airport, Edinburgh. You will help maintain security standards for an international airline, ensuring procedures are followed in line with Civil Aviation Authority regulations.

Paying £13.05 per hour, the role operates on a 4 on, 2 off pattern from 18:30 to 21:30. The contract is temporary ongoing, with a view to becoming permanent, and the company will cover the cost of the required Criminal Record Check.

Qualifications

• Must be 18+ years old.
• Provide a full five-year address history.
• Hold valid photographic ID (passport/driving licence).
• Be willing to undergo a Criminal Record Check.
• Be willing to attend the required aviation security training.

Responsibilities

• Monitor access to aircraft and check airport personnel.
• Record activity on aircraft ramps.
• Carry out aircraft searches and baggage checks.
• Conduct security checks and random passenger searches where required.
• Check boarding passes and travel documentation.

Essential Requirements

Due to aviation security regulations, all applicants must:

• Be aged 18 or over.
• Provide a full, checkable five-year history, including address history.
• Hold valid photographic ID, such as a passport or driving licence.
• Be willing to undergo a Criminal Record Check.
• Be willing to attend the required aviation security training.

The Best Connection will cover the cost of the required Criminal Record Check and assist with obtaining your five-year history.
