Job summary

Coal Clough Academy is seeking a hardworking, enthusiastic Science Teacher on a part-time basis (0.6 FTE) to commence as soon as possible. The successful applicant will deliver the KS3/KS4 Science curriculum, differentiate learning, and support pupils' progress within a small-group setting.

The role requires QTS and a degree in Science or conversion, with strong ICT and organisational abilities, to help pupils achieve high standards and personal growth in a supportive environment.

Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) obtained or eligible to teach in the UK.
• Degree in Science or post-degree conversion course.
• Proven potential to achieve high standards of learning and achievement.
• Excellent organisational skills and ability to manage workload under pressure.
• High self-awareness and ability to relate to diverse pupil needs.
• Excellent ICT skills for teaching and learning.

Responsibilities

• Deliver the Science Curriculum to Key Stage 3 and 4.
• Differentiate the curriculum to meet pupil needs.
• Monitor and support pupil progress as a teacher/form tutor.
• Provide learning experiences helping pupils reach their potential.
• Contribute to raising pupil attainment standards.
• Support personal and academic growth opportunities for pupils.
