Job summary

24-7 group is seeking part-time drivers in Chapel-en-le-Frith to provide safe and reliable transport for children and adults with special needs or vulnerabilities. Roles are route dependent, with term-time scheduling and a range of shifts available.

You will need a valid UK driving licence, pass an Enhanced DBS check, and complete a Group 2 medical; training is provided. You’ll work mornings and/or afternoons on school days with annual leave benefits and pension scheme.

Qualifications

• Valid UK driving licence (car category)
• Confidence driving a variety of vehicles (including larger ones)
• Ability to pass an Enhanced DBS Check
• Completion of Group 2 medical assessment
• Right to work in the UK

Responsibilities

• Ensure passengers travel safely to and from schools or other locations
• Build professional, friendly relationships with passengers, parents, carers and school staff
• Follow safety procedures and company guidelines at all times
• Available for both morning and afternoon shifts on school days

This role involves driving children or conveying adults who need to be transported due to age, illness, or disability. The position therefore meets the definition of regulated activity under both child and adult workforce legislative wording and is eligible for an Enhanced DBS check with relevant barred list checks.
