Job summary

TEEM Education is seeking a reliable School Site Supervisor in Skelmersdale for part-time, ongoing temporary work. The role involves securing the site, performing basic maintenance, and preparing spaces for events.

Candidates should have caretaker or facilities experience, practical DIY skills, and a solid understanding of health and safety. DBS checks may be required. Availability ASAP is preferred.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a caretaker, facilities, site management or maintenance role.
• Good practical skills and confidence carrying out minor repairs and general maintenance.
• Experience with DIY and painting tasks.
• A good understanding of health and safety procedures and best practices.
• The ability to work independently, prioritise tasks and manage your workload effectively.
• A reliable, organised and proactive approach to work.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• An Enhanced DBS certificate, or willingness to undergo an Enhanced DBS check.
• Availability to start as soon as possible.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the security, safety and general upkeep of the school buildings and grounds.
• Carry out general DIY, painting and minor maintenance tasks.
• Ensure the premises remain clean, safe and presentable for pupils, staff and visitors.
• Carry out regular health and safety checks and report or address any issues appropriately.
• Set up and prepare classrooms, halls and other areas for school events, meetings and activities.
• Ensure the school site is secure and appropriately prepared at the beginning and end of each working day.
