Haslingden St James' Primary School in Haslingden, Rossendale, is seeking a dedicated Part-time Site Supervisor to manage the daily site operation. You will act as a keyholder, ensure security, maintain high cleanliness and safety standards, and support events.

The role requires practical maintenance skills, DIY ability, and strong health & safety awareness. It offers part-time hours (6:30am–9:30am and 3:00pm–6:00pm) with a focus on keeping the school safe and well presented.

Qualifications

• Essential: NVQ Level 2 in Caretaking/Site Management (or equivalent).
• Essentials: Basic numeracy & literacy.

Responsabilités

• Opening and securing the school premises each day.
• Acting as a keyholder and undertaking security checks of buildings and grounds.
• Carrying out routine maintenance and minor repairs (basic carpentry, plumbing, painting, DIY).
• Undertaking cleaning responsibilities (windows, floors, communal areas).
• Monitoring heating, lighting, alarm and other systems.
• Conducting routine health and safety inspections and compliance checks.
• Supporting school events through room set‑up and equipment movement.
• Responding promptly to emergency maintenance issues.
• Maintaining drains, gutters and external areas; keeping them litter‑free.
• Adopting a flexible approach to support wider needs of the school.
