Job summary

Wallace Hall Academy in the United Kingdom is seeking a positive, hands-on General Assistant (Cook 1) to help fuel our pupils with fresh, tasty meals daily. We offer training, PVG scheme consideration, and a supportive team. The role is part-time (12.50 hours per week, 38 weeks per year) with shifts Mon–Fri between 12:00 and 14:30.

Qualifications

• Light food preparation including baking / cooker tops.
• Experience not required as training will be provided.
• Basic Food Hygiene and Allergen Awareness training provided.

Responsibilities

• Light food preparation including baking / cooker tops.
• Serve meals.
• Setting up and decanting of dining room.
• Setting up service area.
• Cash handling as required.
• Dishwashing and general kitchen duties.
• Clearing down and cleaning kitchens and staff rest areas.
• Carry out electronic paperwork.
