Job summary

Chartwells on Compass Group UK&I is hiring a Kitchen Assistant in Wirral to join our education catering team. This part-time role is contracted to 21 hours per week, spread across 5 days out of 7, and covers 43.6 weeks per year. You will help deliver high-quality meals and uphold brand standards in a busy kitchen.

You should be a reliable team player with good timekeeping, able to work under pressure, and flexible to shift patterns. DBS checks will be required as part of pre-employment screening.

Responsibilities

• Prepare high-quality food for clients and customers.
• Maintain cleanliness of kitchen and surrounding areas.
• Ensure correct use of all machinery and equipment.
• Assist with loading or unloading deliveries and supplies.
• Represent Chartwells and uphold the brand image.
• Comply with Food Handling & Hygiene standards.
• Comply with Health & Safety regulations.
