Job summary

Sapientia Education Trust is recruiting a Finance Officer to join the school-based Finance Team at Beccles High School. The role covers the full school finance function, including invoicing, supplier/customer queries and reconciliations, with training support offered for professional qualifications.

The ideal candidate will have experience in busy finance environments, with ledger experience and GCSEs in Maths and English, and may pursue AAT qualifications.

Qualifications

• Experience in a busy finance environment.
• Previous purchase/sales ledger experience.
• Maths and English GCSEs grade 4-9.
• AAT qualification or currently studying (desirable).

Responsibilities

• Act as the primary point of contact for all finance queries for relevant school(s).
• Process school orders ensuring compliance with the Trust’s Financial Rules and Procedures.
• Process invoices received ensuring correct authorisation of expenditure.
• Reconcile supplier statements to accounting records and lead on Trust-wide supplier accounts.
• Manage the school’s online payment system (e.g. ParentPay or Wisepay).
• Assist budget holders to cost and manage school related funds.
