Job summary

Norton Free Church of England Primary School in Sheffield is seeking a permanent buildings supervisor to start before October half term or as soon as possible thereafter. You will be responsible for the day-to-day caretaking, security, maintenance and general upkeep of the school site, ensuring the school remains safe, clean and welcoming for pupils, staff and visitors.

Qualifications

• Experience of providing comprehensive site support including security, health and safety, routine maintenance, contractor management and grounds management.
• Reliable, punctual, hardworking and committed individual with strong work ethic.
• Confident working independently and as part of a team with excellent practical skills and flexible approach.

Responsibilities

• School caretaking and premises management

• Complete regular Health & safety checks and ensure compliance
• Carry out Fire alarm testing and Routine site inspections
• Carry out general maintenance and minor repairs
• Identify and report potential maintenance and safety issues
• Manage Contractors attending the school and control site access
• Grounds and external area maintenance
• Set up rooms for school activities and events/Move furniture and equipment as required
• Facilities management including line managing cleaners

You will be responsible for the day-to-day caretaking, security,maintenance and general upkeep of the school site, ensuring the school remainssafe, clean and welcoming for pupils, staff and visitors.

We are seeking a reliable, punctual, hardworking andcommitted individual with experience of providing comprehensive sitesupport including security, health and safety, routine maintenance, contractormanagement and grounds management. You should be highly dependable with astrong work ethic and a proven ability to maintain safe, clean and welcomingenvironments for pupils, staff, visitors and colleagues.
