Job summary

Holroyd Howe is recruiting for a part-time Back of House role at Ashville College, Harrogate. The 21–24 hour week is term-time only, with hours 11:00–15:30, and an optional 8:00 start on Fridays to add extra hours.

The role involves manual handling, setting up the Preschool Dining Hall, washing up, clearing lunch trays, cleaning back of house areas, and end-of-day kitchen clean. Benefits include free parking, uniform, safety shoes, and a free lunch.

Qualifications

• Must reside within easy access of the school.
• Must have the Right to Work in the UK.
• Must be able to pass an enhanced DBS check and provide suitable references.
• Some knowledge of working within a catering environment is desirable.
• Some knowledge of Food Safety/ Health & Safety is desirable.
• Desire to join a welcoming, established team who maintain high standards of hygiene, service and cleanliness.

Responsibilities

• Lifting and carrying tables and chairs, and assisting in the set up of the pre-School Dining Hall
• Working within a team to wash up, clear trays, clean and tidy all back of house areas, including the kitchen
• Sweeping, mopping and putting clean equipment away
• Completing on-line company training within deadlines
