Job summary

Sunderland City Council is seeking a Part-time School Crossing Patrol to help children and the public cross roads at designated locations across the city. The role involves supervising crossings, following site instructions, and working within a split-shift pattern during school dates and times.

You will receive training and a uniform, and the position is term-time only with shifts morning, lunchtime and teatime at various sites. DBS check will be required.

Qualifications

• Understanding road use and traffic awareness.
• Ability to direct traffic at crossing points to keep pedestrians safe.
• Willingness to work across two/three shifts and term-time only.

Responsibilities

• Direct and supervise pedestrians at designated crossings.
• Maintain safety and order during crossing times.
• Follow site instructions for each location.
