Job summary

Durham County Council is seeking a part-time School Crossing Patrol officer for Peterlee, Durham. The role involves helping children and adults cross roads at designated points during term-time hours, with training provided and a retainer during school holidays. DBS checks are required and interviews will be scheduled.

The post is based on Pennine Drive near Howletch Primary. The role includes one hour and twenty minutes daily across two short shifts, with the possibility of casual opportunities

Qualifications

• Must be punctual, reliable and have good communication skills.
• Enhanced DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check required.
• DBS check will include exclusion from Children’s Barred List as this role involves working with children.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the safe crossing of adults and children at designated points during school hours.
• Work at Pennine Drive, Peterlee (near Howletch Primary).
• Attend medical assessments as required.
