Job summary

Knole Academy in Sevenoaks, United Kingdom, is seeking a qualified School Counsellor to support students and staff mental health. The role is part-time, term-time, and 18.5 hours per week (Mon-Tue 8:00–16:30, Wed 8:00–12:30).

The counsellor will provide one-to-one and group support, working with Heads of Year, Pastoral and AEN departments, and may receive staff supervision if required. Enhanced DBS is required.

Qualifications

• A qualified counsellor is required to work within our school to actively support the mental health and wellbeing of both students and staff.
• Role includes working with Heads of Year, Pastoral and AEN departments to assist students in need of professional support.
• Enhanced DBS check will be required and staff supervision is available if needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-to-one counselling and group sessions for students.
• Collaborate with pastoral staff to identify students needing support.
• Support staff wellbeing and participate in staff supervision arrangements.
