Job summary

Chartwells is seeking a passionate Chef to join our team on a part-time basis (20 hours per week) contracted to 43.8 weeks per year. You will prepare and serve high-quality food, lead menu changes, and help enhance our food services in the education sector.

You will supervise a small team, hold relevant Food Hygiene qualifications, and ensure compliance with all hygiene and safety regulations while maintaining excellent customer service and brand representation.

Qualifications

• City & Guilds 706/1 & 2 or NVQ equivalent.
• Food Hygiene certificate.
• Experience supervising a team.
• Experience in a similar Chef role.

Responsibilities

• Prepare delicious, high-quality food that delights clients and customers.
• Oversee and implement menu changes.
• Identify opportunities to improve our food services.
• Listen to customer feedback to improve services.
• Support the creation of new menus and creative concepts.
• Represent Chartwells and maintain brand image.
• Monitor inventories to keep kitchens well-stocked.
• Oversee kitchen cleaning to maintain hygiene.
• Comply with Food Handling, Hygiene and Health and Safety regulations.
