Job summary

Chartwells is recruiting an ambitious Chef to join our part-time team, contracted to 32.5 hours per week across 42.6 weeks per year.

You will prepare and serve high-quality food, oversee menu changes, and support with innovative concepts while upholding hygiene standards and a positive brand image. Experience supervising a team and a City & Guilds 706/1 & 2 or NVQ equivalent, plus a Food Hygiene certificate, are essential. A flexible approach to work is required.

Responsibilities

• Preparing delicious, high-quality food that delights clients and customers
• Overseeing and implementing menu changes
• Identifying opportunities to improve food services
• Listening and acting on customer feedback to improve services
• Supporting with creation of new menus and concepts
• Representing Chartwells and maintaining brand image
• Monitoring inventories to keep kitchens stocked
• Overseeing kitchen cleaning to maintain hygiene
• Complying with Food Handling, Hygiene and Health and Safety regulations
