Job summary

Holroyd Howe is hiring a General Assistant at one of our education settings in Little Bookham, Surrey. The role is 15 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with a salary of £13.22 per hour and a competitive bonus on successful completion of all 3 stages.

Responsibilities include assisting in lunch and snack preparation, serving, maintaining front and back of house cleanliness, following health and safety policies, managing inventory, and delivering friendly service to students and staff.

Qualifications

• Experience in education catering preferred but not essential.
• Good Health & Safety knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation and serving of lunch, and snacks according to established menus and recipes.
• Maintain cleanliness of front of house areas including organising dishes and utensils.
• Maintain cleanliness of back of house including washing up, sweeping and mopping.
• Follow cleaning rotas, health and safety, and other policies and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
• Follow proper food handling and storage procedures to ensure food safety and prevent contamination.
• Monitor inventory levels of food and supplies and notify management of any shortages or discrepancies.
• Provide friendly and efficient service to students and staff during mealtimes, addressing any concerns or special dietary needs.
• Participate in training sessions and meetings related to food service procedures, safety protocols, and customer service standards.
• Complete all mandatory training and courses within the set time scales.
