Job summary

South West Norse, in partnership with Devon County Council, is recruiting a part-time Temporary Catering Assistant at Colyton Primary School. The role covers term-time only, 15 hours per week, Monday to Friday 10:30am–1:30pm, on site in Colyton.

You will support all catering service aspects, ensuring preparation, cooking, presentation and service of nutritious food, while adhering to food hygiene and safety procedures.

Qualifications

• Experience in catering or willingness to train.
• Friendly, polite customer service.
• Ability to meet deadlines in a busy environment.
• Able to work as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Assist with preparation, cooking, presentation and service of nutritious meals to students and staff.
• Ensure compliance with food hygiene, health & safety and QA procedures.
• Support catering operations in the school environment.
• Work as part of a friendly kitchen team to deliver quality service.
