Job summary

The Shaw Education Trust in Cannock is seeking a reliable caretaker for Redhill Primary School. This permanent, part-time role (22.5 hours per week, full year) maintains premises to a high standard, including opening/closing, routine maintenance, security, and setting up spaces for events.

You will join a supportive Trust with opportunities for professional development and a strong focus on safeguarding and pupil welfare.

Responsibilities

• Opening and closing the school site as required
• Carrying out routine maintenance, minor repairs, and general DIY tasks
• Ensuring the cleanliness and tidiness of the school grounds
• Monitoring health and safety across the site and reporting any issues
• Liaising with contractors and overseeing works where necessary
• Managing site security, including alarms and access
• Supporting with setting up rooms and spaces for school activities and events
