Job summary

Torfaen County Borough Council is seeking a dedicated caretaker to join the school team for 20 hours per week. The role includes opening and closing the school at fixed times, ensuring safe occupancy, site security, cleaning, boiler duties and minor maintenance.

You may be asked to cover a second caretaker and must undergo an Enhanced DBS check. Welsh language skills are desirable but not essential; applications may be in English or Welsh.

Qualifications

• Security of the site and basic maintenance tasks.
• DBS/CRB enhanced disclosure check required.

Responsibilities

• Open and close the school at designated times.
