Job summary

Chartwells, part of Compass Group UK&I, is seeking a School Customer Service Assistant in Liverpool. The role is contracted to 16 hours per week across 43.6 weeks per year, in a busy school catering environment. You will support service with food prep, displays, cash handling and frontline customer care.

The ideal candidate has a can-do attitude, team spirit, and reliability, with a passion for excellent service and a willingness to learn and grow within the Chartwells network.

Qualifications

• Experience in catering or similar service roles is a plus but not essential.
• Enthusiastic can-do attitude and reliability are required.
• Demonstrates passion for delivering excellent customer service.

Responsibilities

• Prepare delicious, high-quality food for clients and customers.
• Create attractive food and counter displays.
• Represent Chartwells and maintain a positive brand image.
• Handle cash and operate the cash register.
• Comply with Food Handling & Hygiene standards.
• Comply with Health & Safety regulations.
• Display enthusiasm, be a strong team player and reliable.
• Demonstrate outstanding timekeeping and reliability.
