Job summary

Brewers Decorator Centre in Twickenham is seeking a friendly Part Time Retail Sales Advisor to help customers and keep the branch and delivery service running smoothly. No prior product knowledge required; training provided.

The store is open weekdays 7am-5pm and Saturdays 8am-5pm; benefits include pension and staff discounts. 20 hours per week with a rota including Saturdays.

Qualifications

• Exceptional customer service and communication skills.
• Approachable, open and friendly personality.
• Enjoys teamwork but can work independently.
• Willing to attend training to become Fire Marshall/First Aider if required.
• Retail experience advantageous but not essential; full training provided.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional service to customers in branch to uphold Brewers’ reputation.
• Use product knowledge to recommend best products for needs.
• Mix paint for customers and process specialist orders.
• Request special stock within the branch network.
• Develop sales of wallpaper, paint and fabric ranges.
• Build relationships to identify customer needs for comprehensive service.
• Promote seasonal items and merchandise to boost visibility and sales.
• Assist with stock maintenance and unload deliveries to distribute stock.

We have an exciting opportunity for a friendly and reliable Part Time Retail Sales Advisor to join the team at our Brewers Decorator Centre in Twickenham. Providing exceptional service to our customers, you will play a vital part in helping us serve customers and keeping the branch and its delivery service running smoothly - experience with our products isn't necessary, if you bring great customer service and team working skills to the table, we'll give you everything you need to succeed.

Conveniently located on Heath Gardens, our Twickenham Decorator Centre has been providing the local area with the widest range of decorating materials and equipment for nearly 20 years. Our store is host to an array of wallpapers, decorating tools and materials as well as all the major trade and designer paint brands our customers need whether they be a professional trades person or a home décor enthusiast. The team between them have a wealth of industry knowledge and experience with Brewers, so it’s no wonder we have built up a strong customer base and a reputation for being the decorator’s first choice. The store opening hours are Monday to Friday 7am - 5pm and Saturday 8am - 5pm.

As a Retail Sales Advisor with Brewers, some of your responsibilities will include:

• Provide exceptional service to customers in branch, to deliver upon our reputation for quality Brewers service
• Use product knowledge to provide recommendations and help customers find the best product for their needs
• Mix paint for Customers, process specialist orders, and request special stock within the Branch network
• Developing sales of the Company product range including wallpaper, paint and fabric
• Build relationships with customers to fully identify their needs and allow us to provide a comprehensive service
• Promote seasonal and special items, including merchandising goods in-store to increase visibility and sales
• Assisting with stock maintenance in the branch
• Unload deliveries and ensure stock is distributed throughout the store

• Exceptional customer service and communication skills, to understand and translate customer requirements into product recommendations
• Approachable, possessing an open and friendly personality - happy to help both customers and colleagues
• Enjoys working and supporting a team, but can always be relied upon to work as an individual
• Willing to attend training to become a Fire Marshall and/or First Aider if required
• Keen to learn, develop skills, and progress within our industry
• Previous retail experience or product knowledge would be advantageous but not essential, as full training will be given to the right candidate
