Job summary

Acorns Children's Hospice in Birmingham is seeking a part-time Superstore Assistant Manager to help run our busy community shop. The role covers 15 hours per week with the charity's focus on donations, pricing, merchandising and Gift Aid, working alongside the Superstore Manager.

You will lead volunteers, drive sales, maintain high standards on the shop floor, and support development of retail leadership skills. Weekend work is required, with a pro rata salary of £26,520 per annum.

Qualifications

• Retail experience and experience of working towards targets.
• Ability to lead and motivate a team.
• IT skills.
• Happy to work weekends.
• Enjoy a role that involves significant levels of manual handling.

Responsibilities

• Support the Superstore Manager to create an exciting shop floor experience that makes Acorns stand out from our competitors.
• Make decisions about the quality of stock, levels of pricing and style of merchandising.
• Motivate and inspire a team of volunteers.
• Drive sales by encouraging donations, purchases and gift aid.
• Inspire the team to exceed targets.
