Job summary

University of Strathclyde is seeking a part-time Research Assistant (0.2 FTE, 7 hours/week) for a fixed-term 12-month contract in the Department of Design, Manufacture and Engineering Management to support the EPSRC project on real-time digital twin assisted surgery.

The successful candidate will perform literature reviews, develop questionnaires, conduct surveys, collect data, and contribute to reports, publications, and teaching activities under supervision. Closing date 18 September 2026.

Qualifications

• MSc degree at minimum in a relevant discipline (e.g., mechatronics, mechanical engineering, AI or data technologies).
• Experience with literature reviews, data collection, and reporting results is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Conduct literature reviews and develop questionnaires.
• Carry out surveys, collect and collate data, and document outcomes of experiments.
• Write up results and contribute to research reports and publications.
• Support teaching and knowledge-exchange activities as required.
