Job summary

University of Strathclyde in Glasgow seeks a Research Software Engineer to support staff and students in scientific programming, software project management and the curation of large data assets. The postholder will work within the Faculty of Science and liaise with SIPBS to ensure department IT needs are met and updated accordingly.

Responsibilities

• Support research projects by professionalising researcher-developed software code to enable its release to the wider community.
• Raise programming and software project management skills among staff and students.
• Curate and maintain in-house applications and large data assets held by the Faculty of Science; facilitate access for projects and students.
