Job summary

Cygnet Group is seeking a part-time Research Assistant to join the research and development team. The role supports the ethics process, assists with meeting preparation, and coordinates reviewers and researchers.

You will draft minutes, manage correspondence, develop teaching and promotional materials, and help produce governance statistics for the clinical board. The post offers flexibility, with Wednesdays and the monthly third Thursday required, and some remote work.

Qualifications

• Must have a psychology degree or equivalent experience with a grounding in research.
• Knowledge of research methods and processes.
• Familiarity with qualitative or quantitative methodologies would be advantageous.
• Experience carrying out research and understanding ethics review processes.

Responsibilities

• Respond to research queries and provide advice and support when needed.
• Prepare minutes from meetings.
• Prepare research proposals and arrange reviewers and attendance at meetings.
• Admin tasks like managing research emails and liaising with researchers to follow up.
• Collate response letters to researchers after ethical reviews.
• Develop and deliver teaching and promotional materials to enhance research within Cygnet.
• Complete audits of research folders.
• Produce clinical governance minutes and statistics for governance meetings.
• Attend monthly research and development team meetings as lead reviewer.
