Job summary

VC Evidensia UK’s Rosemary Lodge Hospital in Bath is seeking a part‑time Registered Veterinary Nurse to join the clinical team on a 12‑month FTC starting October 2026. You’ll deliver high‑quality nursing care to a range of patients and support client experiences in a busy first opinion practice with a referral team nearby.

The role is 15 hours per week, spread over 2 days with shifts 8:00am–7:30pm, plus occasional 1:8 Saturdays and Sunday mornings paid as overtime.

Qualifications

• RCVS registration as a Veterinary Nurse is required.
• Experience in first opinion practice is desirable.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Willingness to work shifts including weekends.

We are seeking an enthusiastic, team‑orientated Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our team at Rosemary Lodge Hospital on a part‑time basis.

At Rosemary Lodge, our first opinion nurses work on a rota providing inpatient care for both first opinion and referral cases and assisting with operations. All nurses are encouraged to fully utilise their nursing skills whilst sharing ideas and learning from peers. At Bath Vets we are very focused on wellbeing and provide a friendly environment to work in. We are a busy first opinion practice that benefits from working alongside a multi‑disciplined referral team. The hospital has state‑of‑the‑art equipment including MRI and CT scanning, K Laser Therapy and endoscopy.

How You’ll Make a Difference

As a Registered Veterinary Nurse, you will be an integral member of the clinical team, delivering high‑quality nursing care to patients while supporting excellent client experiences.

You’ll work collaboratively with veterinary surgeons and the wider practice team, taking responsibility for the nursing care of a range of first opinion cases, contributing to clinical standards, and supporting the ongoing development of patient care within the practice.

This role will be a 12‑month maternity FTC starting from October 2026. You'll be based at Rosemary Lodge with occasional branch cover for holiday/absences.

Working Pattern

• 15 hours per week
• 2 days a week with shifts between 8:00am - 7:30pm
• 1:8 Saturdays (8am-6:30pm) and approximately 1:26 Sunday mornings (paid as overtime)

General Responsibilities

• Working between kennels, cat ward and ops
• Anaesthetic monitoring and perioperative patient care
