Job summary

Excelcare is seeking a Part Time Registered Nurse for our Park Avenue Care Home in Bromley. You will join a compassionate team and deliver high-quality nursing care, including medication administration and risk assessments, within the NMC Code of Conduct.

You will work under the Deputy Manager, with shifts 8am–8pm or 8pm–8am, 24 hours per week, and be supported by a comprehensive induction and ongoing professional development. CQC rating Good.

Qualifications

• A valid UK NMC Pin number.
• Understanding of regulatory frameworks - NMC and CQC.
• A passion for working with older people.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Administer medication and monitor nursing care.
• Work with the nurse team reporting to Deputy Manager.
• Create person-centred care plans and conduct risk assessments.
• Engage residents in activities while promoting independence, dignity and respect.

• Up to £62,275 per annum - £24.95 per hour (Breaks Unpaid)
• Part time (24 hours) vacancies available
• Flexible hours - 8am - 8pm (DAYS) or 8pm - 8am (NIGHTS) Monday - Sunday as per the rota

Excelcare is a family-owned Care Home group established for over 34 years. We provide the highest standards of care to older people with a range of needs including dementia, physical disabilities, and mental health issues.

About the role:

• As a UK Registered Nurse, we will be relying on your professional qualifications and experience to make safe clinical decisions to ensure that only the highest quality of nursing care is delivered
• You will work closely with other nurses in the nurse team and report into the Deputy Manager. You will be responsible for administering medication, monitoring the Care Teams on practice, and working within the NMC Code of Professional Conduct
• Your involvement with creating person-centred care plans and risk assessments will be key to the successful delivery of outstanding care and regular updates and reviews will be required
• You will be engaging in meaningful activities with the people living in our care home as well as always promoting independence, choice, dignity, and respect
