Job summary

Machine Tool Technologies Ltd. is seeking a hands-on QHSE professional to develop, implement and audit our QHSE systems.

The role is part-time (8–12 hours per week) with on-site presence at our Chorley office, offering flexibility to manage audits and investigations with leadership support. The ideal candidate will hold NEBOSH General Certificate and be an IOSH Technical Member, with experience in engineering and regulated safety environments.

Qualifications

• Independent professional, not a firm, who can build relationships and implement actions.
• Hands-on, practical QHSE lead capable of delivering solutions.
• Excellent communication across levels and with auditors.
• Experience in engineering environments and highly regulated safety-critical contexts.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and audit Integrated Management System (IMS).
• Lead on EH&S obligations and compliant frameworks.
• Ensure ISO9001, ISO14001, ISO45001, RISQS, Safe Contractor & JOSCAR compliance.
• Plan and deliver internal QHSE audits and investigations.
• Maintain risk registers and regulatory compliance frameworks.
• Support external audits and certification processes.
• Provide pragmatic QHSE advice to managers and teams.
• Contribute to training, inductions, and culture of QHSE.
