Job summary

PX Group in Teesside is recruiting a part-time Project Controls Engineer to support cost, planning and risk management during the Operational Readiness phase. This fixed-term role is 3 days per week, based on site, with mentoring and structured on-the-job training.

You will develop schedules, budgets and reporting against the Operational Delivery Plan, integrate cost, schedule and risk data, and contribute to continuous improvement across NZT Power and NEP projects.

Qualifications

• Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving ability.
• Excellent communication and reporting skills.
• Experience in project controls, cost engineering or planning.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain integrated project schedules aligned to the ODP and ORP.
• Provide cost engineering support, including development, tracking and forecasting of budgets.
• Monitor and report on project performance against cost and schedule, identifying variances and recommending actions.
• Support the development and maintenance of project control frameworks and reporting processes.
• Integrate cost, schedule and risk data for a coherent performance view.
• Identify efficiencies for improved project delivery and resource use.
• Support risk management activities including identification and tracking of risks.
