PX Group is recruiting an Operations Manager for the NZT project on Teesside. You will be accountable for the safe, compliant and efficient operation of the NZT plant, delivering production, reliability and performance targets in line with px Group requirements.

You’ll receive on-the-job training and regular development reviews to enhance your contributions. The role suits someone with a strong background in high-hazard process industries and COMAH environments.

Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent in Engineering, Process, or related discipline.
• Significant experience in power generation or similar process industries.
• Proven experience managing operations in COMAH or major hazard environments.
• Strong understanding of process safety management and regulatory compliance.
• Experience leading Safe Systems of Work, permit to work and authorisation frameworks.
• Experience managing 24/7 shift-based operational teams.
• Experience with plant commissioning, start-up and transition to operations.
• Experience in production management, performance optimisation and loss analysis.
• Strong grasp of defect management and risk management processes.

Responsabilités

• Lead and manage the Operations team to ensure safe, compliant plant operation.
• Support readiness and commissioning activities ahead of start-up.
• Develop and implement operational processes aligned to px Group standards and regulatory requirements.
• Establish and govern Safe Systems of Work, including permit to work and SWP.
• Define and manage operational authorisations and delegation of responsibilities.
• Ensure effective control of work, SIMOPS, risk assessments and hazard control.
