Job summary

The Royal Oldham Hospital is recruiting two part-time Health Care Assistants to support the Pre-operative assessment unit. One role is 28 hours per week and the other 15 hours per week.

You will assist the nursing team with routine health-related activities, maintain records, and provide personal care to patients, ensuring patient-led care. Responsibilities include patient communication, 1:1 supervision when required, stock control, and assisting with equipment preparation such as bronchoscopy.

Qualifications

• Experience in health care settings preferred.
• Willingness to work flexible/unsocial hours.
• Ability to work as part of a nursing team and follow care plans.

Responsibilities

• Assist nursing team with routine health-related activities and personal care.
• Record patient information and provide clinical support as required.
• Provide 1:1 supervision of patients when necessary.
• Stock essential equipment and support vanities in the unit.
• Support in planning and delivering patient health and wellbeing activities.
