Job summary

Southbroom Surgery in Devizes seeks a Lead Practice Nurse to direct and develop the nursing team within a busy, well-established practice. You will manage chronic disease care, vaccinations, preventive services and staff supervision, while aligning with PCN goals and NICE guidelines.

You will lead infection control, policy development and nurse education, ensuring high standards of patient care and staff development within a supportive multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Nurse Lead/Manager with strong leadership and direction.
• Experience delivering primary care nursing services.
• Knowledge of QOF, Enhanced Services, NICE guidance.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the nursing team to deliver high‑quality care.
• Provide clinical leadership and policy development.
• Mentor, supervise and train nursing staff.
• Deliver care for long‑term conditions and preventive health initiatives.
• Ensure infection control and governance standards are met.
• Coordinate with management on practice priorities and resource planning.
