Job summary

Pertemps, on behalf of Royal Mail, is recruiting a Temporary Postal Delivery Driver in Speke, Liverpool. Working 30 hours weekly with weekend availability, shifts are 13:00–17:00.

Duties include sorting mail at the local office, using a handheld device for signature capture and navigation, and delivering letters and parcels on foot or by vehicle. You will lift mail bags up to 16 kg and walk up to eight miles per day.

Qualifications

• Customer service skills required.
• Physically able to lift mail bags up to 16 kg.
• Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Start your shift at the local delivery office to sort and load deliveries.
• Use a handheld device for signature capture and route navigation.
• Deliver letters and parcels by foot and/or vehicle, up to 8 miles per day.
• Lift and carry mail bags up to 16 kg and parcels up to 20 kg.
• Use delivery trolleys when required.
